HOPE CYCLE

Sharing Jesus with others won’t just happen — we have to be intentional. That’s why every month we’ll walk through a 4-week cycle we call H.O.P.E. Each week builds on the last to help you live on mission at school.

  • H – HELP: This week is to equip students to start a Gospel conversation.
  • O – OPPORTUNITY: This week we’ll encourage students to see opportunities to share their faith.
  • P – PREPARE: This week is to empower students to write and practice their faith story.
  • E – ENCOUNTER: Everything builds to this: to present a clear Gospel Message and invite a response.

These student-led clubs operate under the guidelines of the Equal Access Act. This effort is focused on outreach, with a plan to incorporate students who are reached at school into local churches, including your local church. Each club should reflect the personality and giftedness of the students who lead club meetings and the youth worker who guides them.

Definition: [verb] To maintain contact with (a person) so as to monitor the effects of earlier activities or treatments.  The act or an instance of following up, as to further an end or review new developments.

Two thoughts on follow-up:
1. Why do everything else if you are not going to follow up?
2. Student-led, student-initiated follow-up.

We offer an HOPE Manual and a weekly toolkit for student leaders to use for those who have adult coaches and sponsors who have been vetted and trained.
